 | | Baton Twirling | Classes are offered from the beginner's level up to semi-private lessons for the competitve twirler where students will be prepared for competitions at the Provincial and National level. CBTF accredited coaches work with your children and all training is built on the CBTF Skill Development Program. |
| Catch the Twirling Bug | An introductory class designed to let you experience the fun and challenge of the sport of baton twirling Boys and girls 5-7 years of age. This class is 30 minutes in length and runs for 8 weeks. Attire: T-shirt and shorts or leotard and tights, runners. The batons are supplied by the studio. |
| Basic Baton | Designed for beginners and non-competitve twirlers, this class includes baton twirling rudiments, and group routines for the year end production. Recommended for children who have completed at least one year combination. This class includes an introduction to the CBTF Skill Development Program. | Pre-Competitve (Pre-Events ) | Recommended after one or two years of basic baton. Students will now participate in the Sundown Optimist Buffalo Gals Group Activities. Students will learn a group routine and individual events to participate at local events as well will have a continuation of the CBTF Badge program and a group routine for the year end production. Ballet, jazz or acrobatics are strongly recommended. One 55 - minute class once a week Attire: Baton, tan in-step runners, black RAD or Mirella leotard and suntan tights are required. |  |  |
| Contest Twirling - CBTF Level A, B, C | Recommended for the competitve twirler, this class features semi-private lessons. Placement to be determined by the coach and by contest classification, age and ability. Supplementary private lessons are encouraged for Level A students and will be arranged as required. Conditioning will be incorporated into this class. This will focus on strength, flexibility and cardio training. Students will be prepared for competitions at the provincial level and those eligible will take part in the national level events as well. Membership in the Sundown Optimist Buffalo Gals is required. A ballet or jazz class is required at this level. There are four different levels: - Level C - two 55 minute classes per week are required.
- Level B - three 55 minute classes per week are required (this includes conditioning)
- Level A - four 55-minute classes per week (this includes conditioning).
- Elite - five hours of training per week (this includes conditioning). This class will be in consultation with the coach.
